CEO's Corner, by Doug Goodman

Welcome to Ridgetop's First Newsletter

Doug GoodmanWelcome to the first issue of Ridgetop Group's eNewsletter, the Ridgetop View. Ridgetop takes its “Engineering Innovation” motto very seriously and we have demonstrated this through our growing base of customers worldwide.

As many of you know, Ridgetop maintains two divisions, Semiconductor and Prognostics, to meet the fault-tolerance needs of our customers. From radiation-hardened ADCs in distributed detector channels to electronic prognostics deployed in fleets of trucks, our technical staff is well-equipped to handle the most critical of applications with innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Ridgetop’s Semiconductor Division has designed ICs for customers having a wide variety of applications, from space-based signal processing to ground-based MP3 player applications. Our staff is familiar with various CMOS, SOI, and compound semiconductor technologies, and at different process geometries.

By possessing this familiarity, Ridgetop is uniquely suited to offer the value solution to our customers.

Ridgetop’s Prognostics Division is the technology leader, and plays a pivotal role in making Integrated Vehicle Health Monitoring (IVHM) systems possible. Whether airborne-, sea-, space-, or ground-based, critical systems require advanced methods of monitoring system health and expected lifetimes.

Over the years, we have had the pleasure of working with many highly skilled and dedicated engineers at leading organizations such as NAVAIR, NASA, DOE and many commercial firms to meet their rigorous requirements for robust electronic control systems. Again, Ridgetop innovation is key to our proven success.

As a highly focused firm, our challenge is to acquaint the technical community of critical-system developers with Ridgetop’s ongoing development of innovative tools, IP Libraries and technical services. Our new email newsletter, Ridgetop View, is an effective way of periodically sharing this information with our community of customers and other interested parties. We welcome your comments and ongoing support of this publication.

Best regards,
Doug Goodman
