Welcome to the second issue of The Ridgetop View!

In our prior issue, The Ridgetop View covered our expanding line of electronic prognostic solutions.  As the world leader in electronic prognostics, Ridgetop continues to deliver effectual and increasingly innovative solutions that integrate critical application areas. 

The underlying premise of Ridgetop Group’s progress is “engineering innovation”. Inside this issue of The Ridgetop View, we aim to familiarize you with our ground-breaking electronic design services and our numerous products serving the chip design market. Whether your enterprise involves critical systems within aerospace, automotive, medical or other applications, Ridgetop offers global leadership in effective, well-centered solutions for precise applications.  

Chip-Level Test Structures

Ridgetop pioneered the design of in-situ test structures for precise measurements of semiconductor variations. These test structures are included in our popular Sentinel Silicon™ library. Initially oriented at determining the remaining useful life (RUL) of ICs in aerospace applications, customers have found that Ridgetop’s methods are also very effective in addressing yield improvement applications. For example, a major Japanese firm has applied Ridgetop’s test structures to augment conventional scribe line measurements for yield improvement purposes. When used in conjunction with our nanoDFM™ line of products, this customer, as well as others, have found that yield improvement translates directly into dollar savings for our customers.

Mixed-Signal IC Design Services

Ridgetop has gained an impressive list of customers who have purchased our semiconductor IP cores. These cores comprise the InstaCell™ library of predesigned, validated blocks that can be a time-saver in your System-on-Chip (SoC) design.  Customers have included Imaging Array applications, memory, MEMS, and signal processing applications.  These cores are available using a variety of semiconductor foundries, including IBM, TSMC, AMI, and others. 

Radiation Effects Design Services

Ridgetop maintains a staff of experienced engineers who are well-versed in addressing specialized applications for radiation-hardened designs.  These designs must be tolerant of operating in intense radiation environments such as found in space.  Ridgetop employs both “rad-hard-by-design” and “rad-hard-by--process” techniques to reach the required performance objectives.  Customers for Ridgetop’s rad-hard expertise include NASA, NAVSEA, NAVAIR, and various defense contractors.

Commercial Product Design Services

In addition to our extensive work in electronic prognostics, Ridgetop is proud to have provided unique design solutions from customers having laser range finder applications to FADEC “fly-by-wire” control systems.
